Nursery Funding
Nursery Funding
If you are looking into nursery funding or paying your fees using a tax-free account, please have a look at the links below.
Mrs N Routledge is our contact for Government funding regarding free childcare.
You may be eligible for 2-year funding. This is free childcare covering 15 hours a week (you have to meet specific criteria and parents/main caregivers have to apply for this). Once a child is 3, you may be eligible for free 30-hour funding and use up to 30 hours per week. This too requires eligibility and online application. These funding methods must be in place ready for the term after a child's 2nd or 3rd birthday. Please note our week is 32.5 hours, so additional charges may apply per week.
Funding that doesn't require parent eligibility application is the standard (universal) free 3-year-old 15 hours a week. Once you have agreed a place at our nursery and signed the parental agreement forms, if you have applied for 2-year funding you will receive a golden ticket email that will have a personal code. 30-hour funding also generates a code that you will need to provide to us. You will then need to complete an Acorn's at Ormskirk C of E Primary School funding agreement form. This is different to the online application and parental agreement forms. It essentially gives us your consent as a setting to claim the hours you are eligible for. If there are any changes in hours or personal circumstances etc, you will need to complete a new form. These forms currently must be completed termly, which is a requirement set out by the funding department. The free universal 15-hour funded nursery agreement forms also need to be completed in the same way.
If you are not entitled to funding and or your child attends but is not yet 2 or 3 years old, there is a Tax-free account that you can set up and link to our school link (Ormskirk CE Primary School). This will again generate a unique code that you will need to email to bursar@ormskirk-ce.lancs.sch.uk
You will make payments directly into this account and then press process, so your payments leave your tax-free account and transfer to Lancashire County Council. Once the payments reach Lancashire they will then send over your payments to our school account using the unique codes we have sent to them on receipt of you providing them to us. This process does see a delay due to the cut-off dates and processing of monthly payments, but it's a great way of saving 20% tax relief on your childcare.
You will benefit from setting up the School Gateway App on your smartphone once your child has been added to the school system. Via School Gateway, you will be able to select which sessions you have agreed your child to attend and book school lunches/out of school clubs/ sessions etc. There will be individual booking options based on the funding or session charge for your bookings. Please see your child's keyworker to help you with this or come to the office, and we will be happy to help.
If you would like to discuss any funding queries, please call our school number or call in to the pupil office.
