Extra-Curricular Activities
The school offers an out-of-school club (before and after school child care). Before school starts at 7.30 am. After-school provision is until 6 pm. The Club has a trained Special Educational Needs and Disability Key worker who works in consultation with school staff. Where new medical needs arise in school, staff from the out-of-school club are involved with any training.
Lunchtime and after-school provision/clubs are provided by school staff and are available in a wide range of areas free of charge. Reasonable adjustments are made to activities to ensure all children have an opportunity to take part.
Occasionally, additional clubs are organised for pupils by external providers and these have a fee/charge.
The school policy ensures that all clubs and activities are inclusive and that no child is excluded.
The school has previously received awards for provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
The school regularly attends events that are both inclusive and provides specialist provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
The ethos that underpins the school is one of an inclusive education for all children. Developing friendships with a wide range of children is a key part of our philosophy. Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) supports the development of friendships.
